Coming from a filmy background, Giovanni Ribisi always wanted to be actor-started acting at a young age in the 1980's sitcom My Two Dads, followed by an appearance on two episodes of the TV series Highway to Heaven as Curtis Johnson in 1985.

In the same year, he appeared in Simon & Simon and the anthology TV series The Twilight Zone. 

After years of minor roles, Ribisi finally got his big break in the mega-hit series Friends, where he portrayed the role of Frank Buffay Jr, the step-brother of one of the main characters Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow).
