Her casting was praised by the millions as each, and every kid (Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink) were outstanding in the role and gave perfect justice to the character.

When asked about the casting process, the perfectionist Cuba said:

I like both for different reasons. I love the intimacy of what an actor can do with a self-tape; the choices they make without direction can be really fascinating. But I also love reading in person because it gives me a chance to work the scene out in a few different ways and gives me a sense of the actor's approach.

She further added:

If I like someone from a self-tape and they don't live here, I will usually set up a Skype to get more of a sense about him/her before taking the next step.

Carmen then went to work on movies and series like The Laundromat, Vida, Queen & Slim, We Are Who We Are, Sweet Tooth, David Makes Man, and The Matrix Resurrections.

We also saw her magic in The Adam Project when she introduced Walker Scobell as mini Ryan Reynolds.

The personality and energy resemblance between the two was unmissable. As per the director, Cuba auditioned 376 kids in her search for the perfect actor.

"Even when somebody doesn't look exactly like the person, if they have an energy about them that's similar, you almost start to believe that they look like them. [Walker] had an energy that was very similar to Ryan's, which is a hard thing to match. It's the sort of a thing that you can't teach someone how to do."

In like manner, some of her other works include Magic Mike's Last Dance, Scandalous!, The Acolyte, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, The Power, and others.
