Cormac Hyde-Corrin made his debut with a bang. His first acting role made him internationally recognized.

He played Harry Greene, a rugby player who is a ho*ophob*c bully.

The show is a Netflix adaptation of Alice Oseman's webcomic and graphic novel of the same name.

Heartstopper is based on the love story of two teenage boys, Nick Nelson (Kit Connor) and Charlie Spring (Joe Locke).

Rotten Tomatoes reported a "Certified Fresh" 100% approval rating for the series.

It ranked seven on Netflix's Top 10 TV English titles in its first week. As per Variety, the series had reached Netflix's Top Ten list in 54 countries as of 20 May 2022.

Netflix has also renewed the show for the next two seasons.

In an interview with Popternative, Hyde-Corrin talked about his first acting role in the show, which became a teen phenomenon.

The 17-year-old stated:

"It was crazy like it's a big one too for the first one but I'm so grateful to get it."

He continued:

"I'd say it was like one of the perfect first jobs I could have got with the whole production, the whole team around it."

Further, the actor also talked about how important it was to play a character like Harry.

Not only would it bring drama to the show, but it also makes the audience realize how these kinds of people still exist n the world. 

Likewise, he said he took inspiration from his school students of year 11 to play Harry.

Along with acting, Cormac is also very into filmmaking. He is studying to be one.
