Tragic Demise Of Actress Anne Heche-Cause Of Death

The Gracie's Choice alum Anne Heche was involved in the deadly car accident on August 5, 2022, in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles.

She was driving the blue Mini Cooper, which first hit a garage at an apartment complex.

Then the car crashed into a house on the 1700 block of South Walgrove Ave, causing a huge fire that severely injured the actress.

As per the sources, the fire required 59 firefighters and 65 minutes to extinguish fully.

The house was evidently damaged; fortunately, the home's tenant survived with minor injuries.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Heche was "deemed to be under the influence and acting erratically" at the time of the crashes.

On August 8, her representative informed her that she was in a coma with medical ventilation required for a pulmonary injury.

Sadly, on August 11, Anne Heche was declared brain dead due to an anoxic brain injury and was kept on life support as she had expressed a wish to be an organ donor.

Homer Laffoon-Age, Today

Homer Laffoon is the first child of Anne Heche. He was born on March 2, 2002, in Los Angeles, California, United States. As of August 2022, he is 20 years old.

His father is Coleman "Coley" Laffoon. He is a former cameraman well-known for his work on the 2001 Ellen De Genres: American Summer Documentary.

Anne and Coley met when the latter was working with  Ellen DeGeneres's stand-up comedy tour.

At that time, Anne was in a relationship with Ellen. The duo began dating in 1997.

She allegedly left Ellen for Coley. The couple married in an intimate wedding ceremony on September 1, 2001. Homer Laffoon was born after a year.

The former pair shared their son's 50-50 physical and legal custody.

Losing a mother is the hardest thing for a child, and no one can imagine Homer's pain after his mother's death.

After the tragic death of his mom, the 20-year-old Homer released a statement to E! News. 

He stated:

"After six days of almost unbelievable emotional swings, I am left with a deep, wordless sadness."

He continued:

"Over those six days, thousands of friends, family, and fans made their hearts known to me. I am grateful for their love, as I am for the support of my Dad, Coley, and my stepmom Alexi who continue to be my rock during this time."

"Rest In Peace Mom, I love you, Homer."

Homer Laffoon's Father Coleman Laffoon-Age, Net Worth, Wife, And Children

Coleman Laffoon, aka Coleman 'Coley' Laffoon, was born on October 7, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He is currently 49 years old.

As per the IMDb, he is the son of  Polk Laffoon IV, vice president of corporate relations for newspaper giant Knight-Ridder.

Atlas Heche Tupper is Anne Heche's second child with former partner and fellow actor James Tupper.

He was born on March 7, 2009. He, as of August 2022, is 13 years old. Heche celebrated Atlas' 13th birthday at a beach. 

She posted a picture of them stating:

"Atlas is a TEEN-AGER? ... Today I celebrate both of my sons for each of their monumental Birthdays."

The mother-son duo was very close. The actress often posted their pictures on her social media.

Anne Heche was born Anne Celeste Heche on May 25, 1969, in Aurora, Ohio. She was the youngest of five kids of Nancy Heche, an activist, and the late Donald Joseph Heche (who died in March 1983 from AIDS at 45).

Sadly, all her three older siblings, Nathan, Abigail and Susan, died very young.

Anne was estranged from her father. She accused him of ra*ing her from infancy until she was 12 and giving her genital herpes.
