The Gracie's Choice alum Anne Heche was involved in the deadly car accident on August 5, 2022, in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles.

She was driving the blue Mini Cooper, which first hit a garage at an apartment complex.
Then the car crashed into a house on the 1700 block of South Walgrove Ave, causing a huge fire that severely injured the actress.
As per the sources, the fire required 59 firefighters and 65 minutes to extinguish fully.
The house was evidently damaged; fortunately, the home's tenant survived with minor injuries.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Heche was "deemed to be under the influence and acting erratically" at the time of the crashes.
On August 8, her representative informed her that she was in a coma with medical ventilation required for a pulmonary injury.
Sadly, on August 11, Anne Heche was declared brain dead due to an anoxic brain injury and was kept on life support as she had expressed a wish to be an organ donor.
