She witnessed firsthand the long, exhausting process of immigration and the people it impacted due to a lack of knowledge. As a result, she has dedicated her life to assisting immigrants in any way she can. 

"I watched my mom go through the immigration process, being married to a U.S. citizen, having children with dual nationalities at the time, and so that whole process struck a cord with me."  

Following her graduation, Marilee worked at a few global law firms in Atlanta and NYC as an immigration attorney. 

She then served as Chief of Staff at Roc Nation, JAY-Z's entertainment agency, where she was the CEO's right hand on all Roc Nation platforms and business needs. 

At the company, she was hired to ensure that "DEI and social justice—among the core values of the company’s diverse founders—remained a top priority across hiring, advancement, vendor relationships, and all other aspects of the entertainment company’s business." 

After that, the 45-year-old joined Save the Children; a company with a mission "to inspire breakthroughs in the way the world treats children and achieve immediate and lasting impact in their lives." 

Fiebig joined Save the Children as the Lead Advisor for Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging and was promoted to the role of Chief Diversity Officer in June 2021.

Prior to joining Save the Children, she worked as the vice president of operations and general counsel at Wilhelmina, one of the world's leading modeling and talent agencies. 

Appling to work in the United States is a long, anxiety-inducing process, and Fiebig joined the agency to ease their process. 

She also helped create the company's internal operations structure, dealing with staffing issues, contracts, and corporate litigation. 

She and her team would first review each model's portfolio before offering them a job and beginning the visa application process. 

"Because we're putting together a petition to prove that the model is, in fact, a model, they have to have the right type of work to show an established career," she says.
