Days later, Bravo revealed the freshman cast of the rebooted "RHONY," and one of them is a London-born brand consultant and fashion publicist, Jessel Taank.

Meet Husband Pavit Randhawa

Jessel Taank is married to Pavit Randhawa, a financier, and businessman. He is the president of Phone Daddy, a Dallas-based telecommunications company.

She said:

"In true New York fashion, we decided it would be easier to be roommates, as we already knew each other’s vices, and it’d definitely be better than living with strangers."

Jessel continued:

"When my mother came to visit me, she was introduced to Pavit for the first time, and of course made a comment that she was certain that we would end up together. I started paying closer attention and ended up asking him out to dinner. "The rest is history!"

Well, her mother definitely played the role of a cupid in their love story.

The couple was also long-distance for a while when Taank was working in New York City and Pavit was accepted into the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.

"The distance was brutal, but we managed to see each other every other week, either in New York or for fun little weekend getaways," said Jessel in her interview.

Tied The Knot In A Lavish Indian Wedding

Taank and Randhawa got engaged after three years of dating in 2015. The latter proposed on a Labor Day getaway to Puerto Rico.

In her Vogue interview, the fashion publicist revealed that she did not expect a proposal because Pavit had fooled her many times before.

She revealed that she thought he would propose to her on many occasions before as well—a romantic dinner for two on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean on the Greek island of Santorini, for instance.

Also, when he planned a trip to Bermuda and invited the parents, it did not happen, so Jessel did not expect the proposal and was quite surprised and happy when it finally happened.

About the engagement, she stated:

"Pavit was adamant that he handle the hotel booking, saying he wanted a very specific ocean-view room. When we checked in, we were informed that the room we had requested was unavailable. I was extremely upset, but Pavit calmed me down and asked if we could go see the available room. I walked in—still determined to leave—and my heart stopped."

Taank continued:

"The suite, overlooking the ocean, was filled with red roses. I was so confused that I turned around to find Pavit on his knee with an engagement ring in hand. He had completely blindsided me. Pavit arranged a private dinner by the ocean that evening with an incredible fireworks display at the end. "It was perfect!"

The couple then decided to get married soon and planned a destination wedding in Riviera Maya, Mexico, because they loved the beach and had always dreamed of having a beach wedding.

Another reason was that it was "home to Xcaret—an eco-archaeological park in the heart of the jungle that features an ancient Mayan cave."

They had two wedding ceremonies because Jessel is Hindu and Pavit is Sikh (people who adhere to Sikhism, a monotheistic religion found in the Punjab region of India), and they wanted to fulfill their respective religious requirements.

About the wedding, Taank said:

"It has the perfect balance of culture, spirit, beauty, history, delicious food, and, of course, tequila!"

In 2022, the couple celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary, and they seem to have a very happy conjugal life.
