Similarly, in a tell-all interview with Larry King in 2009, the 57-year-old former actor talked about how his dad Ryan failed both as a partner and father.

He left Los Angeles in 2007 and moved to a small town near the Mexico border.

Also, in an interview with Vanity Fair, the Love Story actor said, "I'm a hopeless father. I don't know why. I don't think I was supposed to be a father. Just look around at my work—they're either in jail or they should be".
Griffin is also estranged from his sister Tatum; however, he considers her an incredible human being and wishes her nothing but good things in her life.
