He made handmade Lamb Raviolis on the audition round and earned the prestigious MasterChef apron.

"My initial goal with MasterChef was just to get an apron, so once I did that I was happy about it. But then I set my sights on the top ten, and when I made it, that's when something flipped in my mind. I said, 'Wow, I might actually have a shot at winning this, and going really, really far with this.' I became so much more serious about the competition after that."

Early Life-Age & Height

Nick DiGiovanni was born Nicholas DiGiovanni on May 19, 1996, in Barrington, Rhode Island. 

Currently, he is 25-year-old and stands tall at 6 feet 2 inches (187cm).

His mother is of Italian and German ancestry, while his father is of Persian and English origin. 

DiGiovanni's rich lineage can be seen in his cooking.

"I grew up eating both kinds of cuisine, and I like making new things every time I cook," he said. "I hate recipes and love going into a kitchen, taking random things, and putting them together."

Nick's passion for cooking started at the age of 8 when he watched his grandmother cook different and creative meals for the family. 

His passion further grew following his love for junk food.

"Around age 8 or 9, I realized that if I asked my mom for junk food she wouldn't buy it, but if I asked her for raw ingredients she would," said DiGiovanni. "The first thing I bought ingredients for and made myself was a lemon meringue pie, and it actually worked, even though I probably messed up the meringue a few times."

He graduated Cum Laude from Milton Academy in 2015. During high school, he joined Sailing (3-time MVP, Co-Captain), Hockey, and Soccer. 

Nick later joined Tsinghua University to study climate change. Later, the chef joined Harvard University to study food and climate and graduated in 2019.

He was the Co-Founder and President of Harvard College Culinary Club. DiGiovanni also worked as Stagiaire at benu, a Michelin 3-star restaurant in San Francisco, for a month in 2018.

Who Is Nick DiGiovanni's Girlfriend?

The social media influencer and chef Digiovanni is dating Isabelle Tashima. She is also a Harvard student and was on the college volleyball team. 

The couple started dating in late 2019 and recently celebrated their third anniversary.

During their two-year anniversary, the 25-year-old chef shared a heartfelt message to his partner, thanking her for all the support.

"Two whole years of cooking, eating and loving with this perfect girl. Every single day she’s always behind the scenes helping, whether it’s grabbing ingredients, helping me eat, or tossing a few things in the dishwasher."

He contined:

The duo is quite active on social media and often shares their romantic moments with the fans.
