The Weather Channel meteorologist was married to Tamra Cantore in 1990. 

The couple met while working together in The Weather Channel, where Tamra worked as a managing director/reporter.

Zinn was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease at the age of 40 and had to leave The Weather Channel.
